Chapters: Colorado Chapter
Group Pages

Welcome to the Colorado Chapter of APBP! This is a group for APBP members in Colorado who want to network and collaborate with other active transportation professionals in the state.

On March 4, 2015, the Colorado Chapter of APBP officially launched with a networking event sponsored by Toole Design Group (TDG). Over 50 people attended at TDG’s Denver office, including 20 current APBP members, many of which are on the Chapter leadership committee. Attendees including local and state governments, regional organizations, consulting firms, and local and statewide advocates. TDG’s Bill Schultheiss, P.E. presented a compelling history and state of the practice of protected bike lane design, which included a call to action to design street retrofit projects with the long view in mind. The event was a huge success: many non-members were exposed to APBP, and numerous people volunteered to be involved in the chapter. The Chapter is using the momentum from this event to plan for future events and professional development opportunities. Stay tuned for more exciting Colorado happenings!
