Pedestrians and Bicyclists in a Suburban Context

This webinar will cover challenges planning and designing for pedestrians and bicycles in a suburban environment.  Our suburbs are increasing in density and interest is growing in walking, biking and transit and we need to rethink how streets are planned and designed to accommodate these changes.  The presenters will introduce FHWA’s recently released guide Achieving Multimodal Networks: Applying Design Flexibility and Reducing Conflicts and highlight how practitioners can use this guidance to retrofit suburban streets.
