Active Street News


APBP member Judi Wallace gave the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) National Conference in Columbus, Ohio high marks. She reported that Nora Cody received the inaugural Deb Hubsmith Safe Routes Champion Award and the Galax, Virginia SRTS program won the Oberstar SRTS award.

New National Complete Streets Coalition report, The Best Complete Streets Policies of 2015, gave Reading, Pennsylvania’s complete streets policy (Executive Order) a perfect score (100).

On April 12, the League of American Bicyclists “in conjunction with the Alliance for Biking & Walking” announced the formation of an Active Transportation Leadership Institute.
