Vision Zero is a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all. First implemented in Sweden in the 1990s, Vision Zero has proved successful across Europe — and now it’s gaining momentum in major American cities. Leah Shahum, Founder and Director for Vision Zero Network will be joined by planners from two cities who serve as great models of moving Vision Zero from talk to action at the local level.

Speakers:
Leah Shahum, Founder & Director, Vision Zero Network
Christine Fanchi, PE, PTP, Livability Planner, City of Fort Lauderdale
Nat Gale, Principal Project Coordinator, Los Angeles Department of Transportation
