The Share the Road Cycling Coalition invites you to submit an abstract to present at our 8th Annual Ontario Bike Summit. The summit is taking place at the Eaton Chelsea Hotel in downtown Toronto on Tuesday, April 19th and Wednesday, April 20th, 2016.

The deadline for submitting an abstract is Tuesday, December 15th. Abstracts must be submitted using this Google Form.

The 2016 summit will focus on "What's Next for Cycling". We are looking for presentations that address the following themes:

1. Successful Implementation = Partnerships
(ex. how partners from diverse public and private sectors are working together to grow cycling)

2. Leveraging technology & open data
(ex. using online maps, apps, reporting tools and open data to facilitate cycling)

3. Making the case for cycling: monitoring and data collection
(ex. using bike count and traffic flow data to plan for and implement cycling facilities)

4. If you build it, it must be maintained
(ex. planning for the long term and/or winter maintenance of cycling facilities)

5. Innovative Engagement
(ex. projects that encourage new and diverse audiences to get on bikes and/or participate in the planning process)

6. Connected! Building a cycling network
(ex. successes and challenges in building a connected network that comfortably bring cyclists from point A to point B)

Please note that the examples provided under each theme above are guidance only and are not meant to restrict submissions specifically to those topics.

If your presentation is chosen for the summit, you will be notified via email and will be eligible for a discounted speaker registration fee.

Please contact if you have any questions.
